i just watched Miss peregrines home for peculiar children
1 oct 2016
this will be a quick film review
to start off, the movie was AMAZING. the graphics and clips were superb. The scenes really made the aura in the cinema alike in the screen, from the intensity that kept us on our toes or the small hilarious actions made. But the only cliche part is when the lead, Jacob, and the second (female) lead kind of like each other BUT it’s more complicated than that. On the contrary, the whole movie was really unique especially the idea of the peculiar children duhh and that the children’s specialities and appearance are inspired but real life peculiar photos. in this movie we see how teamwork and trust is portrayed really smoothly. though it ends at a cliffhanger, it did too in the book sO read the second book
i’d give it a 9/10
Comparing it with the book tho.
There were a l o t of scene from the book that didn’t exactly made it to the movie and i can see why, because the movie was sO LONG but SO good if you don’t try to compare it to the book.
First things first, emma and olive switched characters. i’m not pissed as i can see how olive could work as the 2nd lead rather than then emma. i’m just thinking how are they gonna transition into the 2nd and 3rd book with olive as emma and vice versa.
Next, some scenes weren’t in the movie, i’m guessing those scenes are just fillers or unnecessary as the movie was long enough, tho i’d enjoy to see those like the museum scene maybe ooo
book to movie 5/10 meh
Salut
